What is Obagi Nu-Derm? It's a system, actually. Obagi Nu-Derm was designed for patients with sun and age related facial damage, such as pigment changes or fine lines and wrinkles. It consists of a comprehensive protocol consisting of 6 products which are applied 1-2 times daily daily (and at least 3 others for use as needed). Aging and sun exposure slow the rate at which new skin cells form and rise from the deeper layers to the surface. The main goal is to stimulate and accelerate skin cell turnover. The Nu-Derm System penetrates into the deeper skin layers, repairs damage, promotes collagen and elastin formation, and energizes the skin cell turnover rate.

What can I expect? The process starts with a consultation, which is free of charge. The package consists of approximately 9 products and a detailed protocol that describes the products and outlines the steps. Although the long term effects are outstanding, the first 6 weeks or so can be frustrating, as facial skin may become reddened, dry, flaking may occur, and wrinkles may appear more pronounced.
